Mentoring Our Community

Our program for the 2017/2018 academic year is a STEAM project for elementary age students. This year's STEAM project offers a hands-on learning experience where students and teachers get exposed to science and manufacturing by building a small model of NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope.


In 2015/2016 our team members developed the “coffee-bag” sunshield project. This STEAM project involved the construction of a full-scale JWST sunshield made entirely out of coffee bags collected by elementary students in Madison county. Below are some of the photos from our outreach events.
