Trac9 rolls out new ADAMS Solar Trac Kit option at Wright Patterson AFB
Trac9 delivered a 3 arch ADAMS shelter, complete with an integrated solar, battery, and inverter kit to the 445th MXG at Wright Patterson AFB. This versatile kit has enormous capability packed into one EAC-90. The contents of the shelter and solar kit can also be palletized on a 463L standard aircraft cargo pallet. This kit provides Airmen the ability to setup a strong rigid shelter capable of withstanding high wind and snow loads in austere locations. Having the ability to set up and power the shelter system right out of the box is a fundamental design feature of the ADAMS.
The 445th MXG, Rapid Sustainment Office and the Office of the Secretary of Defense completed a capabilities assessment of the newest Trac9 shelter kit option at Wright Patterson AFB 6 Nov 2024
The new Solar Trac Kit provides the ability to power all variations of Trac9 shelters. This kit conveniently packs into the same ISU-90 as the 3 arch shelter system. It includes decking, HVAC, lighting, outlets, and a power distribution unit. Trac9 accomplishes this by designing the shelter to fold up into a small packable unit, utilizing a small logistics footprint. Each arch assembly and end wall piece folds up flat like a book.
Trac9’s solar fly design provides the ability to add additional solar panels to each arch assembly. A standard 3 arch system, such as the one depicted below, can carry up to 24 280-watt panels via three solar fly kits. As shelters increase in size and length, so does the ability to integrate more solar capability. Additional battery storage capacity and inverter types are also available to suit specific mission requirements. The “lego-like” features of the ADAMS and its accessories provide the warfighter the ability to customize and bring what they need downrange in as light a package as they feel necessary.
Trac9 would like to thank the 445th MXG, RSO and OSD for their time and efforts and look forward to more opportunities to collaborate with these teams.
Please reach out if you have an ADAMS and are interested in adding this exciting new capability for your shelter system.
